FinTech SkillSprint 2025 is a fast-paced, 4-hour bootcamp that teaches you the basics of financial technology (“FinTech”), including blockchain, data science, and artificial intelligence. It’s designed for students and educators who want to learn the skills shaping the future of work—even if you’ve never coded before.
The event is organized by Königsberger Brückeninstitut (KBI), a non-profit focused on tech education, in partnership with City University of Hong Kong Department of Data Science.
Nope! While it’s designed mainly for secondary and university students, recent graduates are also welcome.

There are five rounds (sets of dates) to choose from. Pick the round that fits your schedule best.
If fewer than 30 people sign up for a round, you’ll be offered a spot in another round that works for you.
The Blockchain & Trust Technologies (BCTT) track covers:
What blockchain is and how it works
Cybersecurity and cryptography basics
Digital currencies (like Bitcoin and stablecoins)
Digital identity and privacy
Decentralized organizations and governance
The Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) track covers:
Collecting and cleaning data
Basic Python programming
Math for data science
Machine learning and AI ethics
Real-world data analysis
No experience is needed! The bootcamp starts from the basics, so anyone can join.
Each track is split into two part:
Morning Class (2 hours): Technical foundations (lectures + discussions)
Afternoon Class (2 hours): Hands-on activities like brainstorming, writing, and presentation practice
Yes! You’ll work on real-world projects, write proposals, and practice presentations—not just listen to lectures.
You’ll earn an A1 Solutions Architect certificate in either BCTT or DSAI (or both, if you complete both tracks).
The certificate is recognized in the industry and looks great on your resume, LinkedIn, or college applications. You’ll also gain real tech skills employers want.
Yes! You’ll connect with peers, instructors, and past Olympiad winners—great for building your network.
The main focus is skill-building and preparation for global Olympiads, but you’ll get certificates and possibly other recognition.
Absolutely! The bootcamp is designed to help you get ready for the International Blockchain Olympiad (IBCOL) and International Data Science Olympiad (IDSOL).
Yes, bring your own laptop (or tablet) for hands-on activities.
You’ll get instructions before the event if any specific software (like Python) is needed. Most tools are free and easy to set up.

Sessions are led by experienced industry professionals and academics, plus guest speakers who are past Olympiad winners.
